Sports Fitness
We currently train and coach elite level GB marathon runners, road-race cyclists, scratch golfers, endurance wind-surfers, along with recreational skiers/runners and walkers. We offer highly targeted programmes for off-season strength and conditioning, anatomical adaption training, performance cardio-vascular programmes and stretch and mobilisation programmes. All backed up with a comprehensive periodised plan.
Our experience will help you get motivated and stay focussed on your primary competition objectives. All sports have a 'competition' season and we ensure that your training is periodised to maximise your training and therefore results.
We offer practical advice on sports nutrition and can refer you to our in-house CHEK Nutrition and Lifestyle Advisor - Ginny Upshall if you have a specific need or you need a race nutritional plan.
We also have a sports psychologist to offer motivational tools and goals to maximise your plan. Nick Upshall qualified with Newcastle College as a sports psychologist in 2002 and offers ongoing motivation for the competitive sports person. This can be part of your training plan or can be offered to work alongside your existing coaching plan.
Fitness Testing
Fitness testing is an important part of any serious sportsperson's schedule. At Mint Condition we can provide many levels of testing to help dedicated sports people measure and monitor their performance levels.
